Julie CALBETE
Soprano

 

 

Holds a Master of Musicology and an DEA 'Arts et sociétés actuelles' at Michel de Montaigne University of Bordeaux, Julie Calbete graduated in musical studies at the Conservatory of Bordeaux. In 2005, she was admitted at The Brussels Royal Conservatory in the class of Marcel Vanaud and gets a Singing master with 'great distinction' in Ms. Nadine Denize's class.

 

Julie Calbete works with the Namur Chamber Choir for baroque and contemporary repertoires directed by Christophe Rousset, Federico Maria- Stradelli, Jean-Claude Malgloire, Jerome Correas, Peter Philips, Jean-Christophe Spinosi, Guy Van Waas, Andreas Scholl, Pascal Rophé, Ottavio Dantone, Nathalie Stutzmann or Leonardo Garcia Alarcon, with the Collegium Vocale Gent and the Vlaams Radio Koor for romantic repertoire under the direction of Philippe Herreweghe , Edo de Waart ,  Yannick Nézet- Séguin and Hervé Niquet.

 

Interested in all styles, she takes part, as a soloist in many early music projects (Ensemble Les Timbres, Lyon; Camerata Sferica, Brussels; Les Songes, Amsterdam), contemporary music (A cappella Isocele au Carré, Brussels. '2015' Creation with the National Orchestra of Bayonne Côte Basque), musical (L'homme de la Mancha, Cabaret d'un jour), medieval music (Fondation Royaumont de Byzance à Cambrai Ensemble Graindelavoix), operetta (Spectacle Aimons-nous sous l'évier) and opera (Papagena in Luxembourg, a German slave in La Caravane du Caire at the Royal Opera of Versailles and Theatre Royal de Liège).

 

Julie takes the artistic direction of shows mixing classical music, theater and dance : Un Voyage d'hiver (2009), Ceci n'est pas un concert (2010), Madame de...(2011). Since 2005, with Company Place des Arts under the artistic direction of Vincent Brisson, they create shows as Le Banc (May 2005), Mademoiselle (2010) Cabaret d'un jour (2012) coproduction Scène Nationale of Bayonne. 

 

 She participated in recordings of Il Diluvio Universale of Falvetti , Vespro a la Beata Virgine by Monteverdi, Bach Dramma , La venitienne de Dauvergne , Thesée de Gossec, La Caravane du Caire de Grétry , Le temple de la gloire and Zais de Rameau, Phaeton et  Armide Lully, 'Pour un reposoir' Charpentier , Stabat Mater by Dvorak, the Dream of Gerontius Elgar, Verdi's Requiem. 

Very interested in 'actual' music, she has worked and lent her voice in several electronic music recording projects (La rose Blanche, Le monde invisible Rtbf).

 

 

Miron ANDRES
Viola da gamba
 

 

Miron Andres (born 1989 in the Czech Republic) studied the Viola da Gamba first with Brigitte Gasser in Basel (CH), after he continued his studies at the Conservatory Vienna University with Pierre Pitzl. He completed his Bachelor's degree at the renowned Schola Cantorum Basiliensis (Basel, CH) with Randall Cook, focusing on medieval and renaissance repertoire. Currently he is pursuing a Master's degree at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, studying Viola da Gamba with Mieneke van der Velden and Violone/historical Double Bass with Maggie Urquhart – with a focus not only on early, but also on contemporary music. Additionally, he had been taking lessons with various private instructors, including Martin Bauer, Nima Ben David, Tore Eketorp, Joshua Cheatham and Sarah Cunningham.

 

He's been performing with different ensembles (Sestina Consort, Sweet Violence, Sweelinck Orchestra, e.g.) and as a soloist in Switzerland, Austria, Germany, France, Belgium, Romania, Bulgaria, The Netherlands, England and Israel. Together with the Hamelin Consort he won the 2nd price at the “Förderpreis Alte Musik” in Saarbrücken in March 2012.

 

 

Heroan LOIRET
Harpsichord continuo
 

Heroan Loiret is a french harpsichordist and continuo player. He is the artistic director of the baroque ensemble Europe. He is also the harpsichordist and organist of the Regional Orchestra of Bayonne Côte Basque and harpsichord professor at the regional conservatory of Bayonne (France).

 

He received his first prize of continuo playing at the Superior Conservatory of Music in Lyon in 2008 and his Professor (master 2) designation in 2010. Also having  an early music degree in harpsichord in 2002 in Villeurbanne, he began his studies in Nice (france) from where  he is originated.

 

He also conducted studies in choir direction and composition in Geneva (Switzerland) and Montreal (Quebec). He learned harpsichord and continuo with Yves Rechsteiner, Béatrice Martin and Mireille Podeur. He played particularly under the direction of Kenneth Weiss, Bernard Tetu, or with the Sagitarius ensemble (Michel Laplénie)

 

 

Alain REMUS
Baroque oboe
Recorder

 

Alain REMUS is the first oboe holder of the Regional Orchestra of Bayonne Côte Basque. After studying at the Conservatoire de Bordeaux ( 1st oboe Price of English horn and chamber music) and in the Paris region at the Conservatory of Rueil- Malmaison ( Excellence Award ), Alain Remus gets the Diploma of State (1999) and the Certificate of Suitability (2003) oboe teacher.

 

Several awards will mark his artistic career, including the 1st Prize unanimously at the European Competition of Picardy. Chamber musician in conventional formations ( string quartet , wind quintet), he participated in many art projects as baroque oboist. Currently, Alain Remus is oboe professor at the Conservatoire Maurice Ravel Basque Coast .

 

 

 

 

The baroque ensemble HESPERIS, these are musicians from Amsterdam, Bruxelles, Bordeaux or Bayonne (France) who find themselves around a common passion : the baroque music.

 

They enjoy a rich and varied experience with their commitments in various European orchestras and want to build on this dynamic border unit to develop that baroque music truly born of an artistic " concert of nations " into the XVIIth and XVIIIth centuries.
